Collaboration with teams such as CIEs, PLSIEs, DREs, and VVEs is essential for troubleshooting and ensuring successful software flashes. The work is primarily conducted in parking lots, necessitating legal authorization to operate vehicles and a strong commitment to safety.
Flash GM development and fleet vehicles with latest released software.
Ensure no vehicles are flashed without proper Development Vehicle Usage Level release documentation.
Obtain vehicle part numbers and Diagnostic Trouble Codes pre flash and run through GM VVT tool.
Update software in vehicles per the Release Matrix instructions.
Perform quick vehicle function check.
Submit DTC and part pull information into database and close work ticket.
Work closely with CIEs, PLSIEs, DREs and VVEs to troubleshoot and ensure successful flashing.
Work will primarily be performed in vehicles located in parking lots.
Adhere to all safety precautions and requirements and treat safety as the top priority during all work activities.
This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.
Additional Description
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years working in an automotive environment.
High level of ability to work independently.
Good interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems.
Knowledge of serial data communications.
Experience with and/or knowledge of relevant technologies (eg. EPS, Infotainment, Active Safety, Cybersecurity,)
Knowledge of hardware and software interfaces.
Understanding of verification and validation processes.
Experience or knowledge of flashing tools.
Report onsite full time from 7AM - 3PM+.
Preferred Requirements:
Solid understanding of Functional Safety / DVUL requirements.
Understanding of VeSCoM (Vehicle Software Configuration Management) process.
Familiarity with GM software architecture and flashing techniques.
Experience working with relevant tools (DPS, Vspy, Service Programming Systems, SPR)
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington
Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is : $59,900 - $91,900 . Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
