    Position summary

    ng. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, have a consultative approach and develop quantitative and qualitative solutions, and possess compelling storytelling skills to effectively articulate business insights. You are expected to have strong statistical and business analytics skills, build analytic solutions and support the dynamic needs of the business teams. This role requires flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.

    What You'll do (Responsibilities):

    • Define, implement, and lead best practices and patterns for creating scalable, high-quality, executive visualizations.

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities and provide rapid analytic solutions as a consultant and trusted partner.

    • Gain a deep understanding of the business, think strategically and comprehensively, and effectively communicate complex solutions through storytelling.

    • Retrieve data from different source systems, integrate large volumes of data, applying your strong expertise in SQL, Databricks, Power BI or equivalents.

    • Analyze complex data to develop insights and address business issues.

    • Collaborate with other BI engineers, data engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, developers, product owners, program managers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and visualization needs while identifying, developing key metrics and KPIs for tracking business performance and progress.

    • Engage with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless and user-friendly experience in data visualizations.

    • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data, BI, AI and proactively find opportunities for implementation within Manufacturing data products.

    • Mentor other junior resources.

    Additional Description

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, AI, or related field. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • 7+ years of experience as a BI Systems Engineer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, AI Engineer or equivalent with development, testing, deployment and management of BI, AI, and mining business insights with analytics.

    • Database: strong proficiency in SQL, Cloud (Databricks), Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop.

    • Data Transformation: Understanding of data manipulation and transformation techniques.

    • Analytics: Familiarly with Large Language Models (LLM).

    People Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data visualization challenges.

    • Compelling story telling skills, strong knowledge of data visualization, best practices, principles, and techniques required.

    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

    • Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually compelling and informative data visualizations.

    • Natural curiosity with the ability to work both independently and proactively.

    • Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.

    What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems/related field.

    • 10+ years of experience as a BI Systems Engineer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, AI Engineer or equivalent with development, testing, deployment and management of BI, AI, and mining business insights with analytics.

    • Software Development: Python, .Net C#, or React experience including CICD.

    • Advanced Analytics: AI, Prompt Engineering, Data Science, and ML modeling skills.

    • Business Intelligence: Power BI preferred. Tableau/Cognos a plus.
