Inspect incoming parts for compliance to specifications when required.
Assist Engineers and Program Manager with any parts quality, variance, engineering changes, and availability issues.
Collaborate with, and be a liaison for engineers, buyers and suppliers to expedite purchases.
Initiate purchase requests for parts and related services. Follow status of all purchase requests.
Create and maintain statements of work, critical spend forms, etc. required to initiate purchase request.
Attend meetings with GM, supplier, and team personnel as required to support all parts needs. Visit suppliers and/or teams as required.
Establish inventory levels and re-order points to meet all teams' needs.
Follow up on parts orders.
Manage supplier direct shipments. Manage foreign/proof of receipts as required.
Receive and process team orders.
Initiate re-orders and parts schedule changes.
Follow up on collections when required.
Support packaging engineering as required.
Maintain record of prices and non-standard terms with suppliers.
Communicate price, availability, condition, etc. of parts and tools to GM Managers and Engineers as required.
Assist with supplier invoice issues.
Prepare and forward sales invoices to teams buying parts.
Prepare and deliver associated parts and budget reports as directed.
Comply with all GM procedures including pricing, collections, ILM, and handling of GM information.
Lead and train other less experienced Parts Specialists
Develop and recommend improvements in internal process and best practices associated with parts procurement/handling to GM Manager.
Identify and recommend most efficient process improvements (either by optimizing existing processes or developing new) for Parts procurement to other Parts Specialists and GM Management

What You'll Need (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or 5+ years procurement experience
High School Diploma or GED
Deep understanding of and experience procuring parts and materials used in motorsports
Knowledge in Ariba, JobBoss, ERAPA, SAP, EMS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
General knowledge of automotive parts and their function
Ability to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents
Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally as well as independently without direct daily supervision
Effective communication with team members, suppliers, and management
Proven partnership with senior management to analyze and solve issues
Ability to travel 50% of the time within the United States
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
• The salary range for this role is $83,800-$133,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
• Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
