What You'll Do
Scope of Treasury Interaction
System Sustain and Control includes: global business support related to the treasury management system WallStreet Suite (WSS), other supporting applications, bank account setup and daily validation, FX confirmations, debt and cash instruments, and reconciliations
Oversight and execution of controls within Treasury Operations
Treasury System Sustain
Support business side of system sustain including bank account maintenance, FX currency trades, debt and cash instruments, and change control management
Analyze, document, and monitor the FX rate management flows through GM's systems (e.g., gmFX, GCARS, etc.)
Ensure proper controls are in place throughout the processes/flows, including access controls, and support the design and maintenance of automated checks across the system
Verify and process daily investment trades
Manage the analysis, application, and implementation of new, existing, and proposed process and/or systems controls
Adhere to group's policies, procedures, RASICs and controls
Support GM Treasury Business Continuity plan
Support & Collaborate with GM IT
Develop in depth understanding and documentation of the GM Treasury applications/business processes
Implement global treasury data governance processes in coordination with the treasury management system implementation
Track Business Sustain request turnaround time and increase speed by implementing enhancements and new projects to meet business expectations
Complete review of existing application documentation, identify documentation gaps and close them
Treasury Operations Controls
Responsible for oversight and execution of key Treasury Operations controls
Perform semi-annual global bank account confirmation/reconciliation
Ensure that export compliance monitoring is completed during the set-up of any new counterparties within WallStreet Suite
Ensure adherence to GM policies, procedures, and controls
Anticipate and test for process and control gaps and deficiencies
Remediate all process, policy, and control deficiencies uncovered
Develop and implement new policies and procedures
Work with internal and external control, audit, and SOX testers evaluating adequacy of existing controls
Recommend continuing process, system, and internal control improvements
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree with major in accounting, business administration, or finance
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork and partnerships
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
Ability to work independently
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Comfortable searching out and corrects inconsistent data; finds and fixes root cause of inconsistencies; understands the drivers
Function skills (experience with at least one of the following): Treasury Operations, compliance and control procedures, and ability to structure presentations in straightforward, efficient manner
Willingness to work hybrid on night shift (8:00 PM to 5:00 AM PHT).
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Proficient WallStreet Suite (WSS) knowledge
Working knowledge of Treasury systems
PowerBI, PowerQuery, SQL or similar query tools
Ability to quickly understand complex processes, transactions, and systems and provide direction to treasury and accounting leadership regarding impacts on accounting, processes, and controls
Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
Strong internal controls experience/focus with heavy emphasis on process and system controls
Embrace and manage change
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Effective communications up/down/across the organization
