    Position summary

    ean material strategies & automation in GMNA assembly plants. Support automation (ASRS, AMR/AME, etc.) planning and execution. Develop detail plan for future program material execution, investment, and material storage space
    requirement. Develop material and LMS layouts for GA 4-walls/onsite LOC. Perform DPP/DPPN analysis. Maintain and update PFEP for future program changes. Forecast and manage checkbooks for material execution funds. Buy off LMS and material automation strategy with all stake holders. Participate in GA conveyor and tooling layout deep dives to address material
    flow challenges. Support indirect headcount validation for future programs material flow & LMS. Maintain execution master dot and benefits Trackers (LMS and Material headcount savings). Support plant launch team and IE's to setup parts routing, STS/TIS for LMS execution. Develop material flow pin maps and dock analysis. Participate in station-by-station reviews
    to ensure most efficient lineside material presentation to Mfg. Operators. Prepare SOR, work with GM purchasing and strategic suppliers to procure LMS/Automation equipment. Perform field checks, layered audit, g-risk, and Safety FEMA (Safety Buyoff). Participate in leadership review onsite for material launch readiness. Manage contract IIE resources, work
    assignments, and deliverables. Drive best practices and standardized performance metrics across all GMNA assembly plants. Supervise five (5) Industrial Engineers.

    Additional Description

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Management and Information Systems, or related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Material Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Applications Engineer, or related role. Five years of experience with: Manufacturing and assembly processes; Supply Chain Process and GM Plant Operations; and AutoCAD, Factory cad, and MS-Office tools including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint. Three years of experience with: LMS concepts and BOE and BOP; GSC operations and process layouts; Designing and executing LMS cells
    including Kitting, sequence, and repack; Developing Material Layouts and Material Simulation; Executing Lineside material and Station by station Setup; Developing SOR and onboard supplier and contractors; Developing and executing material warehouse compression including Optimized material flow and High bay racks; Developing and managing PFEP and Material execution Master dot; Developing WITS and install drawing for material execution; LMS strategies validation and Prototypes Build including IVER; and Manage material execution KPI's including GMOS score, DPP, DPPn, headcount, and operations readiness.
