ive continuous improvement, for Grainger Canada. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining the data architecture required to support the business. The Operations Analyst will ensure that operational data is available and organized within the data warehouse and create the needed connections and documentation to utilize data reporting summarization tools. This role will proactively deliver analytics and trend analysis on high-impact operational metrics to DC leadership. The Operations Analyst will work closely with operational leaders to provide meaningful data analysis that drives decision making.
This is an on-site position in Edmonton, AB.
Job Responsibilities (You Will):
Lead the migration and organization of DC data in the data warehouse
Utilize additional Supply Chain data to develop holistic view of DC performance and trends
Develop dashboards and reports that provide meaningful analysis to DC Operations teams
Perform in-depth analysis on key performance indicators to find improvement opportunities and to identify impacts of external variables
Contribute to cross-functional projects to represent DC Operations
Develop and maintain all necessary data documentation and establish sustainable data practices for DC Operations
Develop and lead training needs for DC teams to best utilize the available reporting and tools
Education/Experience (You Have):
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
Experience in data analytics and data architecture
Ability to navigate backend systems to manage relational databases such as Teradata, Snowflake, Access, etc. (Proficiency in SQL; Python, VBA, a plus).
Strong experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Business Objects.
High proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel; MS Office 365 tools a plus (Power Apps, Power Automate, Forms, Flows, etc.)
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems - Manhattan/SAP a plus
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to varying levels of stakeholders.
Desire to work cross-functionally
Ability to foster, manage and leverage relationships with stakeholders, team members, and end users across the global supply chain.
Self-directed with accountability to make sound business decisions while demonstrating effective time-management and multi-tasking skills
