    Position summary

    an tools. Implementation of the GPS framework ensuring a smooth integration across the organisation whilst sharing best practices with other sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborates closely with various manufacturing departments to identify improvement areas, ensuring enhanced visibility and a focused approach to continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Implements Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies, acting as a coach and trainer to empower employees in effectively utilizing these tools. Ensures standardization of Lean tools across all departments.

    • Communicates key performance indicators (KPIs) of GPS projects, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and fostering accountability.

    • Facilitates the exchange of best practices among different operational activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Maintains direct communication with other manufacturing sites to share insights and collaborate on ongoing projects.

    • Provides operational support by delivering skills training, ensuring the site meets customer requirements efficiently and effectively as possible inline with Lean Six Sigma methodology.

    • Provides support and improvement to internal performance monitoring tool (RedZone) ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.

    • Offers daily support to the GPS Manager, including but not limited to - creating and maintaining reports relating to manufacturing performance, task monitoring & updating projects mainly relating to reduction of LOI and increased facility OEE.

    Requirements

    Skills & Capabilities

    • Knowledge in modern manufacturing methods and tools such as SMED, cycle planning, DMAIC, 5S and OEE.

    • Must be literate and numerate in English.

    • Computer literate, considering Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    • Knowledge of RedZone and other internal systems is desirable

    • Must understand key performance indicators (KPIs).

    • Able to provide expert guidance regarding Six Sigma methodology

    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Adept at managing and resolving conflicts that may arise during improvement projects

    • Good listening skills and attention to detail.
