    Position summary

    ystems (EMS) under the ISO14001 standard in both Alsip and Lithonia manufacturing sites.

    As an EMS Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting environmental management in ensuring compliance with local regulations, the site's environmental policy, and global requirements

    • Coordinating the site's legal review to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and implementing the required Action Plan.

    • Implements the site's ISO 14001 certification process.

    • Consolidating, tracks, and reports on environmental metrics and incidents using the tools and platforms provided by the Global Team.

    • Leading efforts to improve environmental metrics.

    • Other duties as assigned.     

    The EMS Engineer position may be right for you if you:

    • Knowledge of the ISO 14001 Standard is a plus.

    • Participation in environmental audits under ISO 14001 is a plus.

    • Knowledge of local environmental regulations is desired.

    Qualified candidates will have:

    • A degree in Environmental Engineering is preferred, but chemical or industrial engineering is also applicable.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all departments and all levels of the organization required.

    • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    What will set you apart:

    • Experience working in the Food and Beverage industry.

    • Prior EMS experience.

    Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
