Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Indirectly lead and mentor a culturally diverse team of food safety and quality professionals across all global locations, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Ability to review data and results and make key recommendations for areas in need of improvement and focus to assure organization performance at an optimal level.
Strong knowledge and capabilities in FSQS information systems include the ability to evaluate current processes for improvement and delivery program management for version control and new functionality.
Capabilities to evaluate lean/continuous improvement projects, tracking progress and results, and expansion of successful outcomes to other locations.
Understanding the regulatory and functional evaluation of current testing and monitoring procedures with expansion of successful outcomes to other locations.
Management of support systems to measure Key Process Indicators, global FSQS policies and connecting systems to provide information and accessibility to all global functions and locations.
Provide on-site evaluations of FSQS related Lean projects and provide internal auditing and evaluation capabilities to provide suggestions for improvement and consistency at all global locations.
Leads the management of all FSQS functional systems including reports and operational effectiveness.
This position will be responsible for managing training systems for all global supply-chain and specific topics/subjects for FSQS.
Functional Knowledge:
Overall responsibility for the management and development of Global Griffith Foods Food Safety and supplier quality policies and standards including review and interpretations processes and performance.
Conducts audits and HACCP evaluations as needed to measure performance at the global operations level. Sets standards for HACCP plans and evaluates all global plans on a routine basis.
Responsible for assisting with sanitary design evaluations and sets standards along with Engineering function.
Collect and communicate global food safety and supplier quality goals and status, with the ability to provide analysis and improvement suggestions.
Set and keep global standards for environmental testing programs, tracks performance, and manages/evaluates corrective actions on out of compliance situations.
Collect and provide global reports on improvement processes such as cost of quality projects and all FSQS projects listed in project management software. Report as KPI.
Evaluates global crisis and incident management situations and corrective actions for suitability.
Determine micro specification standards for all raw materials and finished products.
FSQS manager for standards related to food safety and spoilage of liquids and sauces standards.
Evaluates new processes for concerns related to food safety and spoilage.
Sets allergen testing methodologies and standard related to limits of detection and suitability of cleaning standards.
Leads efforts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of sanitation process while setting standards for cleaning including the communication of best practices.
Leads the development and compliance for all product protections equipment standards with operations.
Evaluates efforts and effectiveness for cost improvement projects related to food safety standards.
Business Expertise:
Provides global FSQS updates to all other support food safety and supplier performance on FSQS key initiatives, challenges, failures, and improvements.
Promotes continuous improvement in Food Safety and Supplier Quality processes to achieve stronger linkages between other functions, such as Procurement and the company overall process.
Works with other functional heads to achieve company success on initiatives.
Audits Griffith Foods sites on food safety and suppliers for compliance. Manages global programs to audit suppliers through regional, third-party, and global resources. Reviews and provides direction for corrective action requirements.

Must be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and focus on outcomes for the benefit of the company and our customers.
Job Requirements and Qualifications**: Indicate the minimum and preferred education and experience for this job and any licenses and certifications required.**
Bachelor of Science degree.
Preferred Education:
10 years of related industry experience.
Experience with global food regulation, pathogen control, allergen control and GFSI.
Proficient in ERP, MS Office.

HACCP certification from GFSI recognized organization
