Compares items packed with customer's order and other identifying data
Reads pick list to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
Marks materials with identifying information
Records amount of materials distributed
Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
Uses computer to enter data
Maintains inventory records
Reports stock inaccuracies to supervisor
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or one month related experience or training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills
It is essential to have excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
Computer Skills
Perform limited data entry into manufacturing software system
Mathematical Skills
Must have basic math skills to add, subtract, and divide.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Capacity to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to complete company's Forklift Certification Program Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
