ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Copywriting for assets such as activity sheets + merchandizing kits, advertisements, branded materials, and more to develop campaign & brand specific assets with the Creative Services team
Working closely with the Digital Marketing team to coordinate newsletters, video content, advertising & more
Assist with creating and maintaining the department digital filing system, including the creation of seasonal grids, sales account promotional trackers, marketing plan shells, and budget templates for future seasons
Work closely with the Publicity & Digital Assistant to generate social content both designed & lifestyle for our vibrant social media promotions
Interact professionally with authors and agents, as well as internal departments within WK and HBG, including design, editorial, production, and sales.
Administrative tasks include processing weekly invoices for the department, maintenance of marketing and publicity budget (in collaboration with the AP), facilitating kit mailings, note-taking at meeting, etc.
Travel ( as needed ) to represent Workman Kids and School & Library conferences around the country
Provided additional support as needed for WRPG School & Library Marketing Manager such as award submissions, newsletters and more
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Passion for working in the children's media space, experience working with children's books a plus!
Strong & creative copywriter
Unique problem solver with a willingness to learn & collaborate
Knowledge and enthusiasm for pop culture and trends in children's marketplace
Meets deadlines and can manage time effectively with good follow-up and follow-through
Excellent administrative skills
