Position summary

g Lexile levels, approving requestors on NetGalley and Edelweiss, creating and maintaining the seasonal schedules, routing design materials for approval and booking author travel.

  • Core administrative tasks, including coordination of meetings, preparing meeting materials, taking notes, routing freelance contracts, processing expense reports, processing invoices, and maintaining the budget grid.

  • Assist with the creation of graphic design elements via marketing design department using project management tools (ie: Asana) for organic and paid social media, eCommerce and publicity assets.

  • Assist in updating imprint social media accounts, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X (Twitter) for @unionsqandco.

  • Share publicity and marketing updates at key meetings and via internal media alerts.

  • College degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Prior publicity or marketing experience through coursework, part-time work, or internships is preferred

  • Facility with major social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and X (Twitter)

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

  • A strong focus on details and deadlines

  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, Net Galley, Muck Rack, and Edelweiss a plus

The compensation for this position is $47,500. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location - talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
