Independently own and manage publicity campaigns for select books, gifts, games, and puzzles
Administrative tasks include: creation of seasonal schedules, maintenance of the department digital filing system, managing budget tracking, note-taking at meetings
Assist in preparation and attend New York NOW trade shows
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
College degree, or equivalent work experience
Prior publicity or public relations experience through coursework, part-time work, or internships is preferred
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects across teams, with a focus on details and deadlines
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with multiple social media platforms and management tools
Familiarity with design platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Familiarity with online programs such as Canva, Muckrack, AdEspresso, Mailchimp, and Squarespace is a plus
Interest in book publishing is essential

The compensation for this position is $47,500. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location - talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
