Position summary

Social Media

  • Interested in social media, digital communications and trends

  • Self-starter with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills

  • Enthusiastic and excited about discussing recent books you've read

  • Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and updating content on Bookends (company intranet site)

  • Support the Digital and Social Media Manager with social media strategy and design, as well as work with the Communications Assistant on incoming requests for book donations to non-profit organizations and educational programs

  • Prepare content to HBG's consumer website (press releases, news archives, ect.)

  • Help develop publicity initiatives, including researching and building contact databases, and email outreach to event sponsors.

  • Design graphics in Canva for website, social media, and marketing purposes

  • Draft content for weekly internal newsletters, quarterly reports, and other internal communications projects

The compensation for this position is $17.00/hour. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
