Prepares monthly account analysis and variance commentary.
Reviews existing systems, policies and procedures affecting the perpetual inventory systems and the general ledger inventory to ensure that systems are working properly, policies and procedures are being followed and make recommendations to strengthen controls, increase accuracy and enhance consistency across all inventory systems and locations.
Performs Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) key control assessment and testing on a quarterly basis to ensure that processes that have been identified as key controls are working properly.
Prepares monthly inventory reports and analyses detailing activity in key measurement areas.
Assists with the creation of the annual P&L budgets for inventory-related gross profit adjustments and inventory metrics and targets.
Assists with the development of tools to monitor inventory accuracy in the perpetual inventory systems and general ledger to determine if processes are working properly and if error rates are within acceptable ranges.
Assists with the preparation of the inventory reconciliation on a monthly basis.
Assists with the preparation of the inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis.
Assists with periodic inventory test counts performed at various inventory locations in North America.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 2 to 4 years of related professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
2+ years of Operations / Finance experience in a multi-distribution center environment with experience in inventory/management accounting and analysis, financial analysis, accounting, or systems analysis preferred.
Understanding of financial accounting, managerial accounting, inventory systems, operations, or operations management is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word required with experience in relational data base management like Microsoft Access or Monarch a plus.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team with good people skills required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Management, Mathematics or Statistics required.
The posted range for this position is $46,541-$72,720 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
