    Position summary

    that you are highly organized, with an eye for detail and will be naturally analytical in nature. You will be able to demonstrate experienced commercial awareness. This role would ideally suit someone from a commercial wholesale/distribution background.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the effective management / supervision of the Equipment & Purchasing teams. Live Henry Schein D & I values.

    • Complete quarterly Equipment stock reviews to optimize stock holding, based on key metrics and report recommended changes for approval. Key TSM to cover Equipment order process from end to end

    • Equipment rebate management and driving negotiation processes for new rebates across equipment and merchandise.

    • Work with team to maintain Fill Rate for stocked / special lines at or above target goal, ensuring effective replenishment through consistent 'open order book' management and maintenance of the E3 purchasing system

    • Calculate and share daily fill rate projection for the week(s) ahead. Offer narrative on the top lines impacting, support with supplier rationale for delay and detail recovery plans

    • Ensure that all relevant supplier details and product price information is accurately maintained on the appropriate system across the Purchasing Team

    • Manage freight expenditure to optimise costs for the supply chain, working with the centralised freight team to ensure rates correctly documented and tracked. Coach and supervise junior purchasing team members, detail how to avoid 'Potential Stock Out' scenarios and manage expediting efficiently

    • Drive Purchasing team to identify and optimize all working capital & inner margin opportunities. Overarching goal will be to improve item / equipment 'turns' through the warehouse.

    • Manage a comprehensive list of consumable suppliers and the related day-to-day purchasing activity

    • Own regular reviews and reporting of Excess Inventory & Reserved Items. Managing Non-Saleable Inventory and collation of donation of dead stock. Connecting with finance team to offer activities associated with items carrying provision. Acting as key contact for charities & outlets for sell off requests to support moving on aged stock

    • Review daily, weekly, monthly KPI's and reports ensuring all metrics are attained and identifying opportunities for improvement, working with the relevant teams to bring the metric back on track

    • Monitor Equipment team personal objectives and development. Providing guidance and support where necessary, updating the Purchasing Manager on a timely basis

    • Continuously identify and drive improvements to processes to bring efficiencies/cost savings to the Supply Chain, working alongside Global and European IM counterparts as necessary

    • Maintain regular communication with key stake holders to address business needs and meet organizational objectives, including established cross functional meetings

    • Develop internal relationships, influencing key internal customers to promote professional purchasing principals across the business ensuring timely communication and problem resolution.

    • Provide regular reporting as required by the Snr Purchasing Director / VP Inventory Management

    • Manage and maintain compliance to Company Quality Systems, Sarbanes Oxley regulations and all other appropriate Regulatory bodies. Supporting external audit review and evidence collection.

    Job Skills & Experience Required:

    To succeed in this role, you'll need the following:

    Qualifications:

    • Good standard of secondary education

    • CIPS qualification preferred but comparable qualified by experience level of expertise also accepted

    Required Training or Qualifications:

    • Henry Schein suite of compliance training upon commencement of role

    Skill & Experience:

    • Experience working in a commercial wholesale/distribution background required

    • A thorough knowledge of supply chain processes, developed over years of professional practice, is required

    • A comprehensive understanding of ERP systems

    • Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring other supply chain professionals advantageous

    • Developed negotiation skills and a proven ability to influence at all levels

    • Experienced in interpreting commercial information and implementing insights with a keen profit and results mindset

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly word and excel.
