    Position summary

    est data source, design and create database, maintain flow chart of all data and procedure for reporting

    • Develop and manage Inbound Freight Factor database to ensure most accurate and timely calculation at an item level. Freight factors are used to determine most accurate landed cost and sales commission $, as well as allocate $30M inbound freight spend to the sales divisions.

    • Develop and manage user friendly access to detailed transactions, along with trend info, for Inbound Freight Spend by Vendor and Transportation Partner

    • Develop and manage tools for IM and SC to identify SC opportunities and enable effective collaboration with our vendor community and transportation partners. This includes ad hoc analysis and reporting.

    • Collaborate with SC Team to design database and other solutions to improve business process efficiencies; develop and maintain databases accordingly.

    • Develop and maintain written documentation for all databases and associated reporting; develops proposals and schedules for frequency of database updates and reporting

    • Maintain and update database of crossdock PO data on FTP site (for use by IM and carriers and 3rd party logistic partners)

    • Monthly report of freight cost for core DC's from internal databases, and Data2 Logistics. Discuss requirements with managers, determine best data source, design and create database, maintain flow chart of all data and procedure for reporting.

    • Design and develop detail reports for claims, accessorials, and other major indices within transportation. Analyze database for cost savings and network optimization.

      • Banding
      • Insurance on outbound packages
      • WCS box and detail file analysis
      • Ice packages shipped on failed line hauls
      • Outbound boxes by carrier monthly, quarterly, yearly
      • LTL conversion and cost analysis
    • On Time Performance analysis

    • Participate in special projects as needed

    KNOWLEDGE:

    Intermediate level professional; developing knowledge within own discipline. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity required to perform tasks. Frequently apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

    COMPLEXITY:

    Work on problems of limited to moderate scope and impact where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practice to determine appropriate action. Build productive internal/external working relationships.

    SUPERVISION:

    Receive a moderate level of instruction on day-to-day work and detailed instruction and guidance on new projects or assignments.

    MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Typically 2 to 4 years of related professional experience.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION:

    Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel

    • Knowledgeable database creation and management

    • Process flow documentation

    • Process improvement

    • Problem solving and analytical skills.

    • ERP experience - JD Edwards preferred

    • Supply Chain/Logistics knowledge - desired

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.

    TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

    The posted range for this position is $55,630 - $86,922 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

    At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
