JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for accurately receiving and verifying inventory items by purchase order and putting away to a designated warehouse location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unloads and checks all incoming shipments and reports any damages to the carrier
Opens Packaging slips to verify the vendor purchase order and items listed
Creates PO Receiving list and checks items to verify labeling, packaging and correct quantity
Notifies QA for incoming inspection where required ( non-conformity or first article )
Assigns items to warehouse locations and prints move labels for each product
Places all received items with labe l s on cart for designated location put-away
Unloads and places pallet loads as a Licensed forklift operator
Maintains all packing list/receiving edit paperwork for history records
Other tasks as assigned by Manager
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a relev ant position desired
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
High School degree or equivalent required
KNOWLEDGE, SKI LLS & COMPETENCIES:
Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions
Basic mecha nical skills desired
Basic math and logic skills required
Basic computer s kills and software use ( email, document prep, and spreadsheets ) desired
TRAVEL / WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel - typically not required
Position typically works on site where environmental conditions are stable. May be exposed to higher levels of noise typical in a warehouse environment.
The position requires an above average amount of physical activity. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, stretch, climb stairs and may be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
