eer development, scale up organization for growth and execution. In this role you will be supporting our global technology team as R&D Engineer focusing on development of Transformer technology in the field of electromagnetics: magnetic stray flux effects and load losses. Your work will contribute to maintenance, verification and introduction of new rules for Power Transformer Hitachi Energy standards. This will include improvements to our design and simulation software and expert support for our design engineers worldwide. The position allows to grow in related areas like the FE simulation of losses and forces.
How you'll make an impact:
You will research and definition of best-in-class calculation models supporting flux management and transformer loading.
You will be focusing in development area of Transformer Load Losses and Eddy losses, current distribution and impedances.
You will support and guidance in understanding of Current Harmonics effect on windings and losses.
You will support of FE simulations of load losses and forces, interactions between transformer and network, support in Short Circuit current and forces simulations.
You will support on failure analysis, support on demand to out-of-the scope simulations/designs to HUB.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
You hold a bachelor, master's or PhD) in Electrical Engineering.
Skills in field simulations (2D and 3D electromagnetic simulations) will be an advantage.
Willing to work in remote and diverse environment and travel when needed.
Experience with programming and involvement in design tools creation will be an advantage, design and/or testing of power transformers will be an advantage exposure in electric circuit modeling will be an advantage
Experience in dielectrics and transient physics will be an advantage.
Good skills in English, communication skills for sharing knowledge and occasional customer interactions.
