You will identify new business opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure and collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, product management, and service to tailor offerings to customer needs.
You will build new channel partners and cross/up/ sales to existing channel partners. Developing and delivering product demonstrations, sales bids and presentations to channel partners/distributors and may also training channel partner/distributor sales personnel in product use and promotion.
You will provide technical support and solution design during pre-sales and post-sales phases, also understand client requirements for distribution automation and propose suitable solutions also prepare and deliver technical presentations tailored to customer needs and collaborate with related teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and standards (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3).
You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, industries and channel partners and act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction. You will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and represent Hitachi Energy at events, exhibitions, and seminars also provide feedback to product teams on market needs and customer pain points to inform roadmap decisions.

Your background:
You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation preferrable, or in closely related field.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in technical sales within the power distribution or automation sector.
Fair knowledge of distribution automation solutions, protection and control, and communication protocols also with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment within a regional structure, experience working with OEMs, panel builders, Distributors and system integrators.
Strong focus on understanding customer pain points and tailoring solutions accordingly with experience working with EPCs, OEMs, panel builders, distributors and system integrators also having knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.
Familiarity with Distribution Automation solutions, protection relays, RTUs and communication products and solutions also experience with utility procurement processes and regulatory frameworks also ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business value propositions. Preferred Skills in Technical Sales & Solution Selling, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Problem-Solving & Negotiation. Strong focus on understanding customer pain points and tailoring solutions accordingly.
