Develop and optimize electrical design software for traction transformers, including tasks such as testing, debugging, validation, implementation, and documentation, as well as supporting tools for design systems.
Continuously update or create user manuals and technical standards.
Quickly integrate into the electrical design tool implementation for traction transformers used worldwide.
Foster communication by developing software solutions that interact with Design Systems.
Manage design project tasks, ensuring efficient interaction between electrical and mechanical design tools to improve the design process and tool efficiency.
Review and prioritize bug reports and change requests with local Hitachi Energy units, in collaboration with the Design System Manager.
Provide feedback and contribute to global improvement projects with innovative solutions and ideas for design optimization and product development.
Collaborate on data ingestion techniques and AI applications within existing project frameworks.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
12-15 years of experience in electrical engineering and software development, ideally with transformer design exposure.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with strong interest in software development.
Deep knowledge of electrical design; experience in traction transformer design is a plus.
Proficient in software development with strong logical thinking skills.
Familiarity with Matlab, VBA, and SQL.
Team player who is flexible, proactive, result-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Strong ability to generate questions and ideas for discussion.
Willingness to travel and collaborate with colleagues in different Hitachi Energy units.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
