Electrical Valve Design Engineer

we work in close collaboration with our design teams in India and China. Beyond project and tender execution, we play a key role in product development, lifecycle management, and technical support for upgrades and service projects.

Your responsibilities

• Develop electrical design documentation for projects and tenders within HVDC and FACTS

• Review customer specifications and identify risks, deviations, and opportunities

• Perform calculations related to electrical stress, thermal performance, and losses

• Define control and protection requirements for semiconductor valves

• Perform valve simulations and analyze results

• Define test requirements according to internal and external standards

• Perform failure investigations and ensure safety in design

• Lead design reviews, technical forums, and customer trainings

• Collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines and locations

Your background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Power Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent

• Previous experience in a similar technical field is considered an advantage

• Good knowledge of engineering tools such as PSCAD, MATLAB, and Mathcad

• A strong interest in electrical and electronics engineering, combined with a positive and curious mindset

• You are an open-minded team player who enjoys problem-solving and continuous learning

• Fluency in English is required
