Carry out routine preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure reliable performance and extend equipment lifecycle.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, or software-related issues using specialized diagnostic tools.
Execute corrective maintenance and emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime and ensure customer continuity.
Provide technical support and basic training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Prepare clear and accurate service reports documenting issues, repairs, parts used, and recommendations.
Ensure full compliance with all safety standards, environmental guidelines, and company policies during all field activities.
Maintain open communication with customers, engineering teams, sales, and management regarding service progress and technical concerns.
Manage and maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and diagnostic equipment in the service vehicle.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support as needed.
Your Background
Technical degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, ideally working with high-voltage equipment or within the power industry.
Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, and industrial control systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults with confidence.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across Belgium.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in demanding field conditions.
Strong communication skills in Dutch or French, with good working knowledge of English.
Knowledge of relevant safety standards; VCA certification is a plus.
Proficiency with common computer applications (e.g., MS Office); experience with service management software is an advantage.
