Position summary

  • Lead and execute global talent management initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential programs for the assigned functions, in close collaboration with the T&L team.

  • Drive workforce planning and analytics to identify current and future talent needs, skill gaps, and opportunities for optimization within the assigned Functions.

  • Oversee and advise on complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with global policies and local regulations.

  • Partner with compensation and benefits teams to develop and implement competitive reward strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent within the assigned functions.

  • Champion Hitachi's culture and values, promoting diversity, opportunity, and inclusion

  • Collaborate with HSE leadership to ensure robust safety cultures, compliance with global HSE standards, and effective incident management.

  • Support organizational change initiatives and transformations, providing expert HR guidance and ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, diagnose challenges, and propose data-driven solutions to improve business performance.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, CIPD) preferred.

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an international HR Business Partner role supporting complex, multinational organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting functional areas such as Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, or HSE is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of global HR practices, employment law, and cultural nuances across various regions.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence senior leaders in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex HR concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using HR data to drive informed decision-making.

  • Experience with organizational development, change management, and talent management programs.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
