l design, develop, and implement control and protection algorithms and schemes for HVDC systems, including LCC and VSC technologies, and perform detailed system studies, simulations, and analysis (e.g., PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E) to verify control and protection performance and stability under various operating conditions.
You will prepare technical specifications, design documents, functional design specifications, and test plans for HVDC control and protection systems, also conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) of control and protection equipment and software.
You will provide technical support during commissioning and post-commissioning phases of HVDC projects and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including power electronics engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to HVDC control and protection systems also stay abreast of the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices in HVDC control and protection, contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Required with minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, development, and testing of control and protection systems for HVDC projects.
Strong understanding of HVDC system principles, converter topologies (LCC and VSC), and their control strategies also proficiency in power system analysis software such as PSCAD/EMTDC, PSS/E, or similar tools.
Experience with real-time digital simulators (RTDS) is highly desirable, solid knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) for power system protection and control also familiarity with various communication protocols used in power systems (e.g., IEC 61850).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills also with ability to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural team environment.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project assignments and commissioning activities.
