Position summary

g to the Head of Communications and Government Relations Latin America and as a member of the Communications and Government Relations (CGR) team, you will lead the regional events function with creativity, precision, and purpose-translating our business goals into engagements that inspire action, shape perception, and drive growth.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Define and execute a comprehensive events strategy for Latin America aligned with business priorities and marketing goals, brand positioning, and thought leadership ambitions, ensuring consistency, innovation, and impact.

  • Responsible for corporate event logistics (overall schedule, budget monitoring, venue & location selection process, agency selection and contracting, food & beverage, accommodations, security and safety processes and internal participation).

  • Develop scalable event concepts adaptable across countries and scenarios (e.g., site inaugurations, product launches). Provide guidance to local teams and take direct ownership when needed.

  • Partner with business units, marketing, and sales to align the event messaging and content (key messages, content, presentations, program components and formats, speakers and panelists).

  • Enhance visibility of Latin America leadership through curated event opportunities and speaker placements.

  • Oversee selection, negotiation, and management of agencies, production partners, and venues to ensure best-in-class execution as well as implement group-wide efficiency initiatives in the region.

  • Coordinate executive engagement at the event with the local teams (briefings, c-level engagement and high-level bilateral meetings).

  • Drive innovation in event formats, technologies, and engagement strategies-both physical and digital.

  • Manage regional event budgets with transparency and deliver clear ROI reporting and KPIs for each event.

  • Ensure branding implementation (onsite multimedia, branding, graphics, key visuals, collaterals and merchandise).

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale, global B2B event programs in corporate, agency, or industry settings-preferably in energy, technology, or infrastructure sectors

  • Proven success working with senior executives and cross-functional teams.

  • Skilled in delivering events across diverse geographies with cultural sensitivity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with a talent for storytelling.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

  • Willingness to travel of 50%.
