**The opportunity**  
  
For our Automation Communication business we are looking for an experienced Linux Expert.  
  
**How You Will Make an Impact:**  
  

-   Fulfill the needs and requirements of different Hitachi Energy products
-   Take part in the Linux distribution development process
-   Actively contribute to the integration of Linux into Hitachi Energy solutions
-   Actively maintain Hitachi Energy Linux solutions and tools

  
**Your Background**  
  

-   Excellent understanding of Linux and its ecosystem as well as interest for Open Source Software. Existing contributions to Open Source Software are a strong plus
-   Deep knowledge of the Yocto project and kas, previous experience shipping projects with it
-   Good knowledge of Bash scripts, Python, and C/C++
-   Previous experience with embedded systems development and testing, knowledge of LAVA is a plus
-   Ability to co-operate in international and multi-cultural environment
-   Excellent communicator, ability to understand other views and opinions, good negotiation skills
-   Fluent in English, both spoken and written
