Mechanical Senior design engineer

n identification and control of hazards. Contributes to design reviews and verification following established QA/QC process, provides feedback on design aspects and makes necessary modifications. Optimizes designs to meet updated standards, incorporating new products, components and functionalities. Creates or reviews engineering drawings, specifications and plans required by manufacturing, fabrication or construction.

• You will identify and implement variation requests to support contract claims and create work plans and cost estimates for work in one's area of responsibility and ensure quality deliveries on time and at targeted cost.

• You will complete risk and opportunity assessments and the implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility. Reports any contract/quality/program/cost issues to management, along with recommendations, for resolution.

• You will interact with customers and provide technical guidance on design-related queries and collaborate with the supply chain function, reviews vendor documentation, prepare RFQs, and provide design related evaluation of proposals for non-standard materials and equipment.

• You will share knowledge and experience across own business unit and beyond also attend project meetings and presents specific aspects of project design assignments and create standard processes and tools to promote the reuse of technical solutions.

• You will coach less experienced designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including drawings and calculations, and manage a small team of designers on a project.

• You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years' experience working in the mechanical engineering of transformers or switchgears.

• Auto cad, any 3D software - Creo is considered as an advantage.

• Experience in Microsoft office and tools.

• Demonstrated team building skills would be a preference.

• Quick learner with ability to master new areas.

• Good communication skills in English Language in oral and written form.
