Primary responsibilities:
Learn about the Grid Integration industry, products, competitors, and operations including our functions.

Be an open learner, rotating through assignments focused on exposing you to the fundamentals of operational excellence through direct experiences with all the engineering disciplines (System, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Studies, Lead Engineering)
Engineering development: Ensuring that engineering is developed with complete information and that all multidisciplinary information has been included. Leading development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges.
Support proposal efforts by introducing and promoting innovation, cost saving ideas, and value-added solutions to the overall system design concept.
Working with different stakeholders, both internal and external, to drive and deliver improvements. Interacting with officials, contractors, and suppliers.
Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions.
Ensure that all activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed according to contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Based on your experience and background, additional activities within each engineering discipline could involve:
System Design
Defining the overall technical solutions and requirements for involved main components based on our customer's technical specifications.
Your tasks will include main circuit design and related design studies as well as possibilities to perform power system studies to verify the plants' performances in our customers' networks.
Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers related to proposed solutions and design concepts.
Plan and actively participate in Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests with the customer and/or other Hitachi-Energy units.
Electrical Engineering
Preparation of FACTS plant design drawings (Secondary).
Preparation of specification and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for control and protection cubicles, cable, junction boxes, etc.
Reviewing and coordinating with vendor/supplier drawings for electrical deliverables including primary equipment.
Evaluation of sub-supplier and selection as per project requirements.
Preparation of As-Built Drawings
Controls Engineering
Developing control algorithms/ firmware and modeling/simulation for power converters/ control development
Create, modify, debug, test and deploy control algorithms
Control logic design and testing
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing with real-time simulators
SCADA / HMI application development using Micro SCADA / Zenon SCADA software.
You will be responsible for the design & development of a secured network overall architecture for SCADA / HMI system for PCS projects.
IT infrastructure hands on experience on Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Servers, and workstations with basic networking skills.
Mechanical Engineering
Developing base and detailed design documents and drawings based on customer requirements, as well as local and global standards for station general arrangement and building layouts, cable trench and conduit layout, grounding plan, and lightning protection plan.
Performing Mechanical Calculations to correspond to physical/primary systems including but not limited to grounding, illumination, lightning protection, magnetic field, and structural steel calculations.
Reviewing and coordinating with vendor/supplier drawings for mechanical deliverables including primary equipment.
3D modeling of plants in Revit.
Preparation of As-Built Drawings
Required Qualifications:
Senior undergraduate engineering with preferred concentrations in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
A background in Electrical Power Systems is a plus
Minimum GPA of 3.2
