Position summary

  • Responsibility for project costs, deadlines & scope of delivery

  • Functional lead of one Project Lead Engineer in Switzerland and one Project Lead Engineer in our extended workbench with focus on extension projects

  • Overall responsibility for the successful execution of extension projects within engineering, overseeing the process from technical handover through engineering, production, until project close-out

  • Detailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processes

  • Technical support of the project until completion of on-site assembly

  • Occasional travel to customer meetings or site visits

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in project engineering of gas-insulated switchgear

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Creo, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools

  • Proven track record in managing engineering teams or functional management role with strong leadership and communication skills

  • Experience in SAP and Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to assist in developing project schedules and tracking progress

  • Familiar with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testing

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate issues

  • Experience in coordinating resources, including materials and equipment

  • Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g. German, Spanish or French) is a plus
