Shape a scalable vendor/subcontractor strategy and elevate performance management of external partners.
Your responsibilities
Lead and develop the Benelux Project Operations organization (project managers, planners, controllers, site leaders), fostering a culture of safety, delivery, and inclusion.
Own portfolio planning and execution: scope, schedule, cost, risk, resourcing, and cash for multi-site, multi-discipline projects; balance capacity vs. demand.
Establish and run governance: monthly S&OP for projects, milestone reviews, earned value/cost-to-complete, forecasting, and performance dashboards.
Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards and certifications (e.g., ISO), EHS standards, and customer/TSO/DSO requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and business transformation initiatives (process, digital tools, standard work, lessons learned).
Integrate vendor/subcontractor work into master plans; negotiate, track, and review deliverables; resolve blockers quickly.
Partner with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Service, and Finance to enable smooth tender-to-execution handovers and profitable growth.
Represent Benelux operations in regional forums; contribute to strategic workforce planning and investment cases.
What you bring
Proven leadership of project operations or large project portfolios in the electrical power environment (e.g., substations, grid connections, HV/MV, power quality, EPC/EPCI, or adjacent domains).
Track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time, on budget, and to quality, including vendor and subcontractor integration.
Strong command of project controls (planning, cost, risk, change, cash), PM methodologies, and relevant standards; comfortable with digital project tools (e.g., Primavera/MS Project, ERP, BI).
People leader with experience coaching managers and senior project professionals; adept at building high-performing, cross-border teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence across functions and with customers, regulators, and partners.
Languages: Dutch and English (professional proficiency) required.
Willingness to travel across the Benelux (approximately 30-40%).
Nice to have
Experience from major players in the electrification or industrial EPC ecosystem.
Certifications: PMP/IPMA, PRINCE2, Lean/Green Belt, and/or EHS qualifications.
Familiarity with TSO/DSO standards and data center, e-mobility, or hydrogen segments.
