How you'll make an impact
You will develop new technologies and products for high-voltage components as part of the R&D team and R&D global organization.
You will lead development projects self-driven on time, on budget and on quality and run feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products and simulate their expected performances, by proficient use of FEM software for dielectric and/or mechanical and/or thermal simulations.
You will organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and new products, document and transfer your knowledge and findings from R&D to production environment both locally and in other facilities abroad.
You will provide technical support in domain of expertise to other departments when needed (product management, business development, marketing and sales, engineering...)
You will participate in international pre-standardization and standardization work, stay up to date with the latest technology solutions, international standards, market trends and customer requirements relating to tap-changers.
You will support reverse engineering analysis.

Your background
Minimum bachelor's in electrical/mechanical Engineering or similar.
More than 5 years of experience in electrical engineering R&D role or similar.
Deep knowledge of the design/testing and experience in developing of HV components, preferably tap changers.
Solid track record as project leader is a plus.
Proficiency in the use of simulation tools (e.g. Ansys, COMSOL)
Responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven and result oriented work approach.
Spirit of innovation, "out of the box" thinking
Experience in cost-reduction and lean-six-sigma approach is a plus.
Experience with CAD modeling, Windchill, SAP is a plus.
Fluent in English both oral and written.
