Through your exceptional interpersonal skills, you'll collaborate internally with the wider team and externally with clients, selling directly to the ultimate purchaser and indirectly via channel partners.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Successfully growing our market participation within our Grid Automation portfolio of AC (Automated Controls) System Sales, new and existing customers.

  • Developing customer contacts through knowledge and expertise

  • Close collaboration with the wider business and external parties

  • Working to Hitachi Energy's quality standards and procedures

  • Working with the tender team, project managers, and engineers to contribute and collaborate to win new business.

  • Applying financials and cost analysis when scoping opportunities for new growth and expanding existing market share

  • Provide technical advice and support to distributors, consultants, end-users, EPCs, contractors and OEM customers

  • Identify business opportunities and prepare quotations

  • Prepare tender documentation and attend industry events

  • Manage project delivery, including order entry, forecasting, and backlog management

  • Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, etc., to meet customer requirements.

Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.

  • At least 2 years of experience in sales/marketing of electrical equipment, preferably Transmission & Distribution (T&D) products.

  • Experience in the Australian & New Zealand market would be advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical transmission & distribution systems and associated products.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels.

  • Fluent English language skills essential - other languages beneficial.
