Position summary

to enhance and secure global positioning.

  • Devising research methods, focusing on future technical direction while staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in transformer design and manufacturing, incorporating new methodologies and best practices into our development processes., and future scenarios in transforming the technology landscape.

  • Participation and publications in renowned magazines and conferences such as IEEE and Cigre.

  • Set and maintain the standards of programmatic and technical requirements, specifications, and related technical documentation. Support prototype builds and testing activities, analyzing results and recommending design modifications as necessary.

  • Ensures and fosters own organization and employees to have the ability to challenge status-quo in technical issues, projects, and/or processes with the goal of design and process optimization using best practices.

  • May participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications. Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical design and development, with a focus on Dry-Type and Liquid-Filled transformers in the power industry.

  • Good command of oral and written English language skills.

  • Proven experience in working in complex projects acting as technical lead and/or project management experience in leading complex R&D projects.

  • Ability to interact with the Distribution Transformer Global Product Group (GPG), management, developer engineers, and final users in a local Hitachi Energy organization and present technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
