(Senior) Legal Counsel, Contracts and Litigation

Position summary

  • Work closely with the Head of Contracts and Litigation and other colleagues in the CoE Contracts and Litigation in providing legal advice and counseling on a broad range of legal issues.

  • Take ownership of the reporting and monitoring of dispute, litigation and arbitration matters at a global level.

  • Support on the development and implementation of Generative AI tools for legal use cases.

  • Support contract review and negotiation and get involved in our global (legal) risk management processes.

  • Provide legal support to the Supply Chain organization.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of group legal strategies, directives and standards.

  • Interact with external service providers, including external legal counsel.

  • Participate in various local, regional, and global projects within the department.

Your background

  • Graduate degree in law with several years of experience in a law firm and/or the legal department of a global (industrial) company.

  • Bar admission is preferred, but not mandatory.

  • Strong interest in technology and process improvement.

  • Experienced in international contract law and litigation/arbitration.

  • Demonstrated ability to be agile and keen to learn.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is mandatory, other languages are an asset.
