Position summary

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process optimization through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  1. Support the local NAM team in Supplier Identification, Registration and Evaluation:
  • Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring they meet Hitachi Energy's quality and sustainability standards.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and capabilities and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.

  1. Support the local NAM team in Negotiations and Contract Management:
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements in terms of pricing, quality, delivery, and contractual terms.

  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy's policies and legal standards.

  1. Collaborative Cross-Functional Work:
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, sales, and tendering teams, to understand and address procurement needs.

  • Provide expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams in supplier selection, contract management, and procurement best practices.

  1. Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and quality-related concerns.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Education:

5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A

Skills

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build productive relationships.

Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and market analysis.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
