Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier caliper
Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines
Must meet the requirements of a Code 9 machinist and acceptably meet the requirements of the proficiency machinist standards in productivity
Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations
Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products
Requirements:
Associate's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or relevant industry or graduate from a trade school covering standard and computer-controlled metal working equipment or demonstrated knowledge
One year of machining experience preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred
