lying payments accurately to tenant accounts and performing daily reconciliations to ensure all incoming cash has been recorded. The Cash Applications Specialist position is also responsible for performing periodic non-cash applications, write-offs and tenant account reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Daily processing and application of tenant payments.
Perform daily lockbox imports for all bank accounts.
Maintain and balance Excel spreadsheet to reconcile all incoming cash on a daily basis.
Manage all cash from receipt until accurately posted to tenant's account.
Research issues related to unidentified payments.
Address payment issues or discrepancies and post related adjustments.
Review Accounts Receivable Aging Reports monthly.
Perform non-cash applications/credit applies and write-offs as needed.
Perform tenant account reconciliations periodically as needed.
Special projects and other duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
Prior experience in accounts receivable or cash applications required.
Associate degree in accounting or business preferred.
Knowledge of JE Edwards a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related products.
Ability to multi-task and manage time.
Attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Interact effectively as part of a team.
Handle a dynamic work environment with competing priorities.
