What You Will Do
Review, analyze, and process invoices and pay applications in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
Produce and review monthly job cost reports and development spending reports.
Monitor and communicate project budgets, actual costs, and variances to project managers and senior leadership.
Read, interpret, and analyze lease agreements to ensure accurate accounting treatment of tenant-related costs and obligations.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and adherence to SOX controls in all accounting processes.
Ensure capitalized costs for predevelopment, development, capital projects, tenant improvements, and leasing are recorded in compliance with the Company's Capitalization Policy.
Verify that project budgets, executed contract amounts, and commitments are not exceeded.
Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
Minimum 2 years of related experience in project or construction accounting; real estate development experience preferred but not required.
Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and project cost accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience with process improvement initiatives and a willingness to embrace new technologies, including AI-driven tools.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
