    About the role

    The owner's commercial construction manager representative role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of high-end luxury condominium and multi-family projects in the Houston Region. The job requires a strong onsite presence for all construction related activities and will work directly with the owner, owner's hired consultant team and/or vendors, and contractor to ensure a successful project completion and unit turnover within prescribed deadlines.

    What You Will Do

    • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within an approved budget.

    • Coordinate and monitor all in-field construction related activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, building codes, and quality expectations.

    • Must possess a comprehensive understanding of latest construction industry related principles, practices, building systems, and technology standards pertinent to condominium and luxury multifamily product-types.

    • Monitor all aspects of project buyout and procurement including negotiating contracts and vendor agreements.

    • Monitor and mitigate project risks associated with cost overruns, schedule delays, etc.

    • Attend owner, architect, and contractor meetings and represent the owner.

    • Must possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with the owner, consultants, and contractor team. Produce and present project status reports to owner's leadership.

    • Perform proficient review and evaluation of contractor payment applications and change orders for both validity and accuracy.

    • Conduct on-site project inspections and liaison with project consultants, vendor, and construction lending representatives.

    • Ensure completion of deficiency logs, punch lists, and any condominium clientele selections on offered unit upgrades-substitutions.

    • Manage all project close out deliverables.

    About You

    • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree

    • 20-25 Years of Construction Management experience in commercial construction.

    • Experience in managing multifamily projects required and experience managing condominium projects preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices.

    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.

    • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and be able to solve issues as they arise.

    • Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines with minimal supervision.

    • Working knowledge of critical path construction scheduling.

    • On-site presence required.
