About the Role
The Leasing Paralegal position will support the Houston Region legal team in managing, drafting, and coordinating lease agreements and related real estate documents. This position is responsible for the end-to-end management of commercial leases, including ensuring compliance with company standards, conducting lease reviews, and coordinating with internal teams on leasing matters, and assisting with various other legal and compliance matters.
This position is in The Woodlands, Texas.
What You Wil Do
Draft and Review Lease Agreements: Prepare, review, and revise commercial lease agreements, amendments, and lease-related documents in coordination with the legal team, ensuring all leases meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate Lease Execution and Management: Manage the execution process for lease agreements and ensure accurate, timely record-keeping; track key dates, obligations, and renewals.
Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a liaison between the legal team, property management, finance, and other departments regarding leasing issues.
Support Lease-Related Projects: Assist the legal team in preparing summaries, reports, and analyses on lease portfolios and in managing lease-related projects.
General Legal Support: Provide additional support on corporate real estate legal matters as required, assisting attorneys with research, drafting, and other projects.
About You
Licensed Paralegal in Texas with a valid certification from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization or equivalent credential.
2+ years as a real estate paralegal, preferably in commercial leasing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with commercial lease agreements and related documentation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams.
Prior experience in a real estate law firm, Big Law (AmLaw100) firm, or in-house real estate legal department.
