    Position summary

    resident, Expense Controller and be responsible for the oversight of the month end close processes for Fund Related and Legal Expense FSLI's, related Accounts Payable functions and on-going AR reporting for outstanding Fund Reimbursables.

    Responsibilities

    • Review month end journal entries for balance sheet and income statement transactions for legal and fund related expenses (i.e. cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses).
    • Review monthly expense analysis and collaborate with FP&A team on budget vs actual reporting.
    • Provide high level analytics for MoM flux for month end reporting flash reports.
    • Review monthly reporting with various internal stakeholders regarding receivables, payments and collectability of outstanding Fund reimbursable AR.
    • Oversee Corporate process of monthly billing of invoices inter-company for Fund receivables.
    • Review journals and assist team with monthly cash reconciliations.
    • Manage handling of allocations of receivables across multitude of funds and work with various internal teams.
    • Lead and coordinate meetings with departments to answer questions and ensure processes are being followed.
    • Assist with developing and monitoring KPI's and creating progress reports. Maintain data analytics and statistics on AP aging, AR collectability, productivity benchmarks, etc.
    • Oversee all day-to-day AP operations and processing of high-volume invoices into AP system (Coupa). Lead and coordinate meetings with third party vendor AR stakeholders.
    • Manage ad-hoc ticketing system and delegation of tasks relating to communications with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Maintain and improve documentation of internal procedures and master reference files. Identify and remediate process gaps and implement effective internal controls.
    • Continuously looking for opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and process improvements. Able to take on new and challenging assignments on an ad-hoc basis.

    Qualifications

    • 7-15 years of corporate accounting/audit experience within the financial services industry
    • Understanding of GAAP reporting
    • Degree in Accounting
    • CPA license (achieved or actively pursuing) is preferred
    • Fund accounting experience is preferred
    • Familiar with Oracle NetSuite and/or General Ledger systems (i.e., PeopleSoft, Axiom) are preferred
    • Experience with Coupa or similar A/P system is preferred
    • Able to manage large sets of data and be able to implement checks and balances
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented with big picture capability

    Benefits

    The base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $180,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
