    Position summary

    ents and annuities, structured investments distribution, broker-dealer matters, strategic relationships and product and global expansion.

    • Serve as a senior advisor to the firm's senior management, including the Head of Structured Products and Annuities, the Chief Financial Officer and the General Counsel, Business teams, compliance and enterprise risk on commercial, regulatory and legal issues.
    • Manage a team of attorneys responsible for providing legal and regulatory support of the firm's structured investments platform, structured investments distribution, annuities, and life insurance businesses in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as well as managing outside counsel, as necessary.
    • Negotiate and supervise negotiation of complex high-value commercial agreements with counterparties and clients, including structured investment and annuity product issuers, as well as financial institution users of iCapital's structured investments and annuities products and services.
    • Drive modernization of internal legal processes, with a focus on maximizing efficiency, supporting firmwide transformation and delivering on firmwide objectives.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience within a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a broker-dealer or financial technology firm, including experience managing other attorneys
    • Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and FINRA rules
    • Working knowledge of applicable insurance rules and regulations is a plus
    • Experience negotiating high-value commercial agreements with sophisticated clients and counterparties
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
    • Member in good standing of the New York Bar or another state or jurisdiction

    Benefits

    The base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $275,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
