Internal Alternative Investment Sales - Associate / Assistant Vice President

ip with some of the world's leading alternative assets managers. This individual would be part of a small team tasked with raising capital for these offerings in partnership with iCapital's Alternatives Distribution team, the asset manager, and on a standalone basis. The target clients for such capital-raising efforts are independent broker dealers, registered investment advisors, private banks and wire-houses. This role will report to the Head of Registered Fund Solutions Sales.

Responsibilities

• Work with regional investment specialists to develop and execute a market coverage strategy (e.g., prospect, educate, schedule meetings, sell, service).
• Build reporting templates to track progress to goal and ad hoc presentation material as requested.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of key alternative investment platforms which products are available on.
• Become proficient in all aspects of the product(s) and sub strategies to fill the role of wholesaler and product specialists as required.
• Occasional travel in the market to attend industry conferences and meet with key clients and prospects as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working within the alternative investment industry in a client facing capacity (e.g., Investor relations at placement agent, private equity capital raising, external wholesaler, client portfolio manager, product specialist)
• Willing to work on a commissioned-based sales plan after a ramp-up period
• Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who takes initiative and learns quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the team
• Series 7 and 63 licenses are required
• Obtain CAIA within 2-3 years of hire

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $125,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
