What you'll be doing
Work with the Open Source community to improve Telegraf
Design and implement new features of Telegraf as a team
Effectively troubleshoot issues and address bugs
Communicate in writing and develop publicly with the Telegraf community
What you bring to the table
5+ years of professional engineering experience building and shipping production software
Self motivation and a drive to get things “done”, working independently but closely integrated with the rest of the team
Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Golang, Rust, C/C++ or Python)
Working knowledge of Git (and GitHub) and related workflows
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
What might be a plus
Experience in programming with Golang
Experience in contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols
Experience in monitoring networks and devices
