Position summary

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Pennington NJ, Jersey City NJ or Pittsburgh PA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Experience in mainframe development, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and IMS.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 6 years of experience in mainframe development, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and IMS.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Rexx, Shell, and Groovy.
In-depth knowledge of mainframe tools and products.
Exposure to DevOps and CICD practices.
Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
Knowledge of distributed platforms.
Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and core concepts.
Proven experience in leading and managing development teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Highly effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements .
