Principal Technology Architect - Telecommunications Cloud Infrastructure - Brussels

Basic*

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in Telco Cloud, NFV, and Kubernetes-based platform engineering.

Preferred

• Deep expertise in defining and governing end-to-end Telco Cloud architecture aligned with enterprise architecture principles, shared-nothing DC design, and carrier-grade resiliency (NSPOF).
• Hands-on experience with container platforms on bare metal including OpenShift with SR-IOV, DPDK, and Multus for high-performance telecommunications workloads.
• Experience with OpenStack migration and exit strategies, and storage integration using Ceph or distributed storage systems.
• Strong background in intent-based orchestration, GitOps-driven deployment models, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, scaling, patching, and compliance enforcement.
• Experience designing closed-loop remediation capabilities through AIOps and intelligent automation integration.
• Proven ability to define end-to-end observability architectures using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and AIOps platforms, including SLI/SLO/error budget frameworks.
• Experience embedding Secure-by-Design principles including container security (RHACS, Prisma Cloud), network segmentation, and alignment with NIS2, ISO 27001, and DORA.
• Strong track record driving platform lifecycle strategies including planned upgrades, legacy decommissioning, and capacity optimization.
• Expert in HLD/LLD design governance, architectural guardrails, and design standards for telecommunications environments.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale, Tier-1 telecommunications environments with carrier-grade resiliency and performance engineering expertise.
• Ability to advise program leadership on technical risk, delivery sequencing, and solution feasibility.

Nice to Have

• TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Architect or equivalent.
• The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
