JOB DESCRIPTION: -
We are currently seeking applications for the position of experienced Payroll Officer.
Preferred Qualifications: -
- Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, CMA)
- Payroll Officer with 3-5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience preferrable with SAP and Government sector.
Other Essential Skills and Requirements: -
- Payroll input processing - Processing payroll data in order to maintain and update payroll information into SAP payroll system.
- Resolving payroll queries related to payroll input processing.
- Performing quarterly and yearly audits along with lead/manager.
- Creating personal files and uploading employees employment related documents as a part of new onboarding projects, updating Gen updates.
- Creation and maintenance of organization units, roles, their relationships. Create, delimit, change roles
- Processing changes related to Positions and Org. Units - Reporting line, Title or Abbreviation, Planned Compensation, Account assignment, EG/SG, Location
- Performing leave reconciliation - Checking leave taken history, leave accrual balance and service of employment.
- Preparing and reviewing severance estimates.
- Helping teams in monthly and yearly activities like running Payroll and HRO reports, bulk onboardings, bulk terminations, bulk master data processing etc.
- Fortnightly and Monthly client reporting.
- Managing shared mailboxes on a rotation basis.
- Working on data clean up projects with payroll like back payments calculation, superannuation and tax deductions, an annual projects.
- Performing testing ( UAT and Regression testing) for new updates in SAP or new project onboardings.
- Updating employee's record with exit requests in SAP payroll system.
- Calculation of exit payments and paying final payments.
- Performing leave reconciliation - Checking leave taken history, leave accrual balance and service of employment.
- Preparing and reviewing severance estimates.
- Processing Deed of release payments.
- Sending exit paperwork to employees including final payslips, reconciliation sheets , separation certificate and certificate of services.
- Reviewing fortnightly payroll variance reports.
- Payroll input processing - Processing payroll data in order to maintain and update payroll information into SAP payroll system.
- Performing quarterly and yearly audits along with lead/manager.
- Updating SOPs and checklists.
