Project Manager - Mining experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

For you to be successful in obtaining this role you will need to possess the following:

• At least 8 years of experience with Information Technology and Mining Production systems.
• Experience in managing project day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, engagement with key stakeholders and vendors and leading project deliverables.
• Experience in maintaining project schedules in MS Project format.
• Experience in cost, schedule and risk management.
• Experience in delivering projects encompassing IT and OT applications.
• Experience in developing and maintaining a Project Risks, Actions, Issues and Decision register (RAID).

Skills /Competencies:

Essential:

• At least 5 years of experience in project management in the mining industry
• At least 4 years of experience in executing projects in the mining domain (commissioning, vendor management, mobilisation planning etc.)
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline.
• Experience in MS Project.
• Experience leading development teams, coaching, and evaluating performance.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Preferred :

• Prior application development experience in mining operations.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Additional Skills:

• Excellent customer interfacing skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
