Short Description:
we are seeking a skilled and dedicated MS SQL Database Administrator to manage and maintain our critical database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and availability of our MS SQL server environments. This role involves proactive monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, security implementation, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (6+ Years) as an MS SQL Database Administrator in a production environment.
In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server architecture, features, and administration tools.
Strong understanding of database principles, relational database design, and normalization.
Proficiency in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Experience with database backup and recovery methodologies.
Solid understanding of database security concepts and implementation.
Experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions for MS SQL Server.
Experience with database upgrades and migrations.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or T-SQL for automation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
